Our Mighty Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace with hearts of gratitude and thanksgiving that the life of two peacemakers, one with the Beaumont Police Department and the other with the Milwaukee Police Department, were spared. O’ God we thank your divine intervention. Lord, we lift up these wounded officers into Your Presence Lord and ask for Your healing touch to continue to be upon them as they have already been treated at a hospital. May You reveal to the heart and mind of these officers Your amazing and unending love, grace, peace and comfort of Your Holy Spirit. May Your love, grace, mercy peace and comfort especially touch the families of each wounded officer as they are at their side supporting and loving them at this very emotional time. May Your grace additionally extend to the many co-workers and friends of these officers and uphold them with Your arms of love. Lord, we also ask You to give the investigators wisdom as they piece together the details of these incidents in which the suspects are no longer a threat. May Your mercies, Your Presence and grace gently settle upon the hearts and minds of the men and women of the Beaumont Police Department and the Milwaukee Police Department and draw them ever so close to Your side for comfort. May Your love and grace extend to the many other law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics and first responders who responded to those scenes and surround them with Your love. May Your word strengthen every law enforcement officer as follow, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” May Your Holy Spirit reveal the Love of Your Son to the many law enforcement officers who were present at that scene. And if these wounded officers or any other officer does not know You personally, may Your Holy Spirit draw them unto Your side where they may have an opportunity to receive Your Son as they Savior and Lord. May they know Your word says, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest”, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
