Our King of Kings, it is with a deep heart of thanks and gratitude that we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Scottsboro Police Dept. and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol as they rally around and support their injured co-workers. As these peace officers continue to be treated by medical personnel, may You grant the doctors wisdom to continue to identify and treat their injuries and restore them to full health. We are so thankful unto You, Lord, for sparing their lives. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the families of these law enforcement officers and sustain them with Your amazing grace as they rally around and support their loved ones. And as countless members of the Scottsboro Police Dept. and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol support their co-workers through these near-death encounters, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows, "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land." O God, May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need. As the suspect in Scottsboro is on the run, may You grant the investigators wisdom to locate and arrest this suspect. May You protect all peace officers involved in this search. As we know traumatic incidents like these can cause short-term and/or long-term emotional trauma, may Your amazing grace preserve the hearts of those and draw them unto Your side. May many be encouraged with Your word as follow, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” We lift all who need a touch of our Master's hand into Your Arms of Love. And in the weeks to come may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. May many come to know Your son, Jesus, as their savior and Lord. May every officer and family member intimately know Your love, grace and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
