Our merciful Lord, we come into Your Presence again, Lord, to lift up Indiana State Trooper Azariah Keith struck by a vehicle. As the news reports he is in critical condition, we seek Your healing touch to be upon him and thank You for sparing his life. May You empower the doctors and medical professionals with wisdom to be able to accurately and swiftly diagnose his injuries and apply the appropriate treatment to bring about complete recovery. May Your mercy, presence, comfort and grace touch Trooper Keith and sustain him with Your Arms of Love. May he make a full recovery in body, spirit and mind. May You grant the investigators wisdom as they investigate this collision caused by a drunk driver. May Your amazing grace especially descend upon the family of Trooper Keith and his colleagues as they rally around him to love and support him at this very emotional time. Lord, as we know this incident will affect many co-workers and friends, may Your grace and love surround them and hold them ever so tightly in Your Hands. May You raise up chaplains and other Godly law enforcement officers to be a beacon of light to this injured peace officer and any others who were who were present when this incident occurred. May Your grace and comfort touch the many paramedics, doctors and first responders who treated this injured trooper. May many be encouraged with Your word as follows, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. And if Trooper Keith does not know You personally, may You remove the scales from his eyes and heart and reveal to him the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. O’ Lord, let Your peace that passes all understanding settle in the hearts of this injured trooper, his family and in every member of the Indiana State Police. Lord, preserve the hearts and minds of those affected and spare them from any short-term or long-term emotional trauma. May You use this near-tragedy Lord, to cause many other troopers to examine their life and may You open the hearts of many to know and receive the salvation of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. May You use this to draw many who have fallen away from You and may You welcome them back into Your arms of Loving kindness, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
