Praying for seriously injured Turner County (GA) Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Herrick and an injured Forsyth County (NC) Sheriff’s deputy both from on-duty collisions

Our Father in Heaven, we come before Your Throne of Grace in great earnest on behalf of the men and women of the Turner County Sheriff’s Department to lift up Deputy Nick Herrick who was injured in an on-duty collision. As the news reports he is being treated at a trauma center and is in serious condition, we place him into Your Arms of Love and mercy and ask You to pour out Your Amazing Grace upon him. O’ God, we ask You to spare his life. May You raise up the correct medical specialists to continue to accurately diagnose his injuries and then provide the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. We also want to lift up an injured Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputy injured in an on-duty collision. May Your Presence and comfort especially be with the family of Deputy Herrick and the Forsyth County deputy as they are at their sides supporting them through this very difficult time. Lord, we ask for Your natural and supernatural healing touch to be upon both deputies and draw them ever so close to Your Side. As they are likely sedated, we ask You to touch their mind, body and spirit. May Your Holy Spirit especially reveal to their heart and mind that You are with them, and it is You who is carrying them through this difficult time. As we know this has affected countless other members of the Turner County Sheriff’s Department, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department and their co-workers and friends, we ask You to reveal to all Your grace and Your presence as You carry them through the coming days. As there were a number of paramedics, first responders and medical staff who were initially involved in treating both deputies, may Your grace and mercies touch their hearts and draw them close to Your side. So, Lord, may every officer and family member allow these words to dwell deeply in their hearts, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Lord, we thank You that You are our Healer and the lifter of our souls. May You be their Rock, Fortress, Deliver and Shield and may You bring comfort and healing to Your injured servant according to Your riches and glory. May You raise up chaplains and Godly officers to be a representative of Your Love, Your Presence and Your comfort. And if either deputy does not know You personally, may You allow Your Holy Spirit to them unto Your Son to receive You as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus we Pray, Amen.
