Praying for three wounded/stabbed officers with the California Department of Corrections

Our Merciful Lord, we again come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up three w wounded/stabbed officers with the California Department of Corrections. As the news reports the officers sustained multiple stab wounds during a struggle with an inmate, we thank You, Lord, for sparing their lives. As their wounds are not life-threatening, may you continue to grant the medical staff with wisdom to treat their wounds and bring about a full recovery. As we know these officer’s family are at their side loving and supporting them at this very emotional time, we ask for the sweet comfort of Your Holy Spirit to settle upon their hearts and minds and bring them Your peace that passes all understanding to settle upon their hearts and souls. As the family, friends and co-workers are rallying at their side, may they know Your word says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” And as You said, “I will never leave your nor forsake you”, may those in need place their hearts and trust into Your Hands. May Your grace, mercy, peace, presence, comfort and love touch these officer’s family members and especially the men and women of the California Department of Corrections. We also seek Your divine mercy and grace to touch their wounded officer’s co-workers who responded to assist in that attack. May You remind these officers to know they are God’s servants for good according to Your Word. Lord, we join with the California Department of Corrections and entire Correctional law enforcement community in California and lift them into Your Hands of love and mercy. May those officers and family members who were especially close to these injured officers know Your Word says to, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” So Lord, as we lay our hurts and sorrows at Your feet, may Your Holy Spirit guard our hearts and minds at all times. May Your amazing grace be made real to these wounded/injured officers. And if they do not know Your love, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a representative of Your love and may they and many others know the everlasting life found only in Your Son, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
