Praying for a wounded/stabbed Toronto (Canada) Police Officer and a wounded/stabbed La Vista (NE) Police Officer

Our Merciful Lord, we again come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a wounded/stabbed Toronto Police Officer and a wounded/stabbed La Vista Police Officer. As the news reports both officers sustained non-life-threatening wounds, we ask You, Lord, to grant the medical staff with supernatural wisdom to continue to treat them and restore them to full health. May they be guided by Your Holy Spirit in the treatment of their wounds and may they fully recover. As we know these officer’s family members are at their side loving and supporting them at this very emotional time, we ask for the sweet comfort of Your Holy Spirit to settle upon their hearts and minds and bring them Your peace that passes all understanding. As the family, friends and co-workers are rallying at their side, may they know Your word says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” And as You said, “I will never leave your nor forsake you”, we place our hearts and our trust in Your Hands. May Your grace, mercy, peace, presence, comfort and love touch both officers’ family members and especially the men and women of the Toronto Police Officer and La Vista Police Officer. May You remind these officers to know they are God’s servants for good according to Your Word. Lord, we join with the Toronto Police Department, the La Vista Police Department and entire law enforcement community and lift them into Your Hands of love and mercy as protect their citizens. May those officers and family members who were especially close to these injured officers know Your Word says to, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” So Lord, as we lay our hurts and sorrows at Your feet, may Your Holy Spirit guard our hearts and minds at all times. May Your amazing grace be made real to these wounded officers. And if they do not know Your love, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a representative of Your love and may they and many others know the everlasting life found only in Your Son, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
