O’ Merciful Lord, we come with great urgency before Your Throne of Grace to lift up six law enforcement officers wounded/injured this past evening.  We first a critically wounded Wood County Sheriff’s Deputy and a critically Wounded Texas State DPS Trooper both shot during the same incident.  As the news report they are critical but stable, we seek Your divine intervention for these peacemakers.  May you provide them with the correct medical specialists who can identify their injuries and apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  O’ God, spare their lives.  We are also so grateful for Your wonderful mercies upon these other four injured and wounded peacemakers in California and Georgia and we are so thankful unto You, Lord, for sparing their lives.. As the news reports all LAPD officers have been or will soon be released from the hospital, and that the Columbiana officer sustained minor injuries after being shot, we ask you to grant the doctor’s wisdom and insight to continue to accurately diagnose and treat their injuries and restore them to full health..  May You wrap Your loving arms around all of these peacemakers as they recovers from these near-death experiences. May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain these peace officers and may they be drawn ever close to Your side for the continuing comfort of Your Holy Spirit as they recover. May Your mercy, grace, love and everlasting comfort also settle upon the families of each peace officer as they support their loved ones in this time of recovery. May Your grace additionally touch every member of the Wood County Sheriff’s Dept., Texas Dept. of Public Safety, LAPD and Columbiana Police Departments and allied law enforcement agencies as they rally around to support their wounded and injured comrades and their families. May every law enforcement officer know that You ordained their job as a peacemaker to protect and serve their community wherever they may be. May Your word as follow bring comfort to these officers involved in those incidents, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” And, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Lord, through these near-death encounters, may many law enforcement officers come to recognize their need to draw near to You for You will then draw near to them. May Your words speak to the hearts of those in need, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Because of Your peace and grace, may many come to receive Your forgiveness and receive Your Son as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
