Our Merciful Lord, these past few weeks continue to be tough for law enforcement officers across America as they operate emergency vehicles and as they are protecting and serving their communities. We, therefore, again come before Your Throne of grace to lift up the Texas State Highway Patrol in the on-duty fatality of Trooper Sergio Romero from an on-duty Collison. We also come boldly before Your throne of grace to lift up a critically injured Miami Beach Police Officer into Your healing arms. As he is being treated at a hospital, we ask You to grant the doctors with supernatural and natural wisdom to effectively diagnose this officer’s injuries and then apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. May Your love, grace, mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the family of this injured officer and sustain them with Your amazing grace. As the family of Trooper Sergio Romero are mourning every so greatly at this tragic loss and as the family of this critically injured Miami Beach Police Officer are at his side, we know many family members, co-workers and friends have been affected emotionally and spiritually. So Lord, may Your word comfort them as follows, “Be still and know that I am God.” And, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” O’ Lord, as this officer is being treated, may You provide the correct medical specialists who can identify his injuries and then apply the correct treatment and bring about a full recovery. And if this injured Miami Beach officer does not know You personally, may You raise of Godly officers or chaplains to share the love of Your Son with him. And Lord, we want to lift up the men and women of the Texas Highway Patrol as they endure this tragic loss of Trooper Romero. O’ Lord, as we know the pain is once again ever so great to them, may Your grace and mercies touch those who have been so deeply affected. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the family of Trooper Sergio Romero and sustain them with Your amazing grace. As countless members of the Texas Highway Patrol are in shock and mourning ever so greatly at this loss, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.“ O’ God, May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need. Grant the investigators in Texas and Florida with wisdom and insight to piece together the facts surrounding these incidents. So, Lord, we come boldly before Your Throne of grace to lift all who are deeply grieving and mourning into Your Arms of Love. As the men and women of the Texas Highway Patrol will begin to make preparations for a final farewell service for Trooper Romero, may You raise up Godly troopers and chaplains to bring hope and grace at this difficult time. And in the weeks to come may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. May many receive You, Jesus, as their savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
